"Images of Havana" opens at Art Space 106 (the Men's Room) on Sept. 4th!
A selection of black-and-white photographs form the streets of Havana will be exhibited at Burlington, Vermont's Art Space 106. All of the images were produced in the darkroom with the lith printing process--which yields one-of-a-kind grainy, warm-toned prints.
The Opening Reception will be on Friday, September 4th, from 6-8pm and the exhibition will run through January, 2016.

IMPRESSIONS
This body of work explores the impressions made by humankind. Taking a lead from a quote by Virgili Barbarà used by Fran Bull to describe her series Barcelona!, “All of life is etching,” each artist uses markings and striations in unexpected ways to express the impact, delicacy, and uniqueness of our existence. The ridge patterns of our fingers, the markings of language, the trail on the landscape and the imprint of human movement is encapsulated like fossils by this visually stunning body of work.
